Buddha said yes! I stole nine merit boxes in a row! No ratings yet.

Recently, the Chongming police in Shanghai received a report from Shengxiu’an in Gangxi Town stating that the money from the merit box had been stolen.

It turned out that the money from the merit box was cleared every ten days in the temple. This time, compared to before, with nearly the same number of worshippers, the money was less than half.

Furthermore, the screws on each merit box were loose, showing clear signs of theft. After receiving the report, the Chongming police quickly launched an investigation and soon identified the suspect, Tan.

On the evening of November 5th, the police went to Tan’s temporary residence in another province. After investigating the residents of the building, there was no sign of Tan.

However, based on the flow of people in and out, the local police determined that Tan was still in the building. They immediately conducted a comprehensive search and finally found Tan hiding on the roof.

The police promptly arrested Tan, and upon interrogation, the suspect Tan confessed to the crime of stealing money from the merit box.

According to the investigation, Tan went to various temples and temples in Chongming in mid-October to scout. In the early hours of October 23rd, Tan entered Shengxiu’an by climbing over the wall and stole money from nine merit boxes in the temple.

Tan also argued cunningly, claiming that he didn’t steal but borrowed. “I asked the Bodhisattva if I could take the money from the merit box?” The Bodhisattva said, “OK”!

Currently, the suspect Tan is detained by the Chongming police on suspicion of theft, and the case is under further trial.
